Introduction to the Media Center

 

Book Clubs - You can be a Sequoyah, Classics, or Newbery Reader by signing up for the clubs.  You can also review books on our library website to become a Creek Critiquer. The sign-up binder is located at the checkout desk.  Listed below are the requirements for each level of the clubs:

Sequoyah Reader -   
BRONZE LEVEL - Read three books from the Intermediate Sequoyah list
SILVER LEVEL - Read six books from the list
GOLD LEVEL - Read ten books from the list

Classics Reader -   
BRONZE LEVEL - Read three classics or eight Great Illustrated Classics
SILVER LEVEL - Read six classics or fifteen Great Illustrated Classics
GOLD LEVEL - Read eight classics or twenty Great Illustrated Classics

Newbery Reader -
BRONZE LEVEL - Read four Newbery honor books or winners
SILVER LEVEL - Read eight Newbery honor books or winners
GOLD LEVEL - Read twelve Newbery honor books or winners

Creek Critiquer -   
BRONZE LEVEL - Review three books for Creek Critiques
SILVER LEVEL - Review six books for Creek Critiques
GOLD LEVEL - Review nine books for Creek Critiques

Checkout Procedures - You may check out two items at a time and have them for two-week periods.  You may re-check your items as many times as you'd like, unless someone else has put your item on reserve.  Come in to checkout any time the doors are open and unlocked.  We'd love to see you!
