What/Who is PSG 2012? We, the parents/guardians of our wonderful children currently in the 8th grade at Deer Creek Middle School, are the Parent Support Group of 2012 (“PSG 2012”). Our mission is to look at the future activities of our children as they continue their journey to Graduation in May of 2012. Our goal over the next several years is to put aside money to help fund these activities. Some of the activities that PSG 2012 is responsible for are:
8th Grade Graduation, Breakfast/Luncheon, Lock-In, Video, T-Shirt (Cost is about $3,000-$5,000)
11th Grade Junior/Senior Prom/After Prom, Senior Class Reception after Baccalaureate (Cost $15,000-$20,000)
12th Grade Graduation & Senior Breakfast/Luncheon, Class of 2012 memento to Deer Creek Middle School (Cost $3,000-$5,000)
The PSG is funded by annual dues of $25.00 from each student and we will have various fundraising events throughout the years.
Deer Creek Schools will be contributing some monies toward portions of the costs mentioned above, but the remaining will be through ticket sales and/or fundraising efforts by PSG 2012.
We cannot plan for the unknown, but we can begin to plan for some of these memorable events and eliminate the headache of how to fund them now! Meetings will be held minimally this year, but we will have several meetings scheduled during our 8th grade year. Begin checking the Deer Creek Middle School website and go to PSG 2012 for meeting dates and times. We will be sponsoring the spring dance this year which is an easy way to raise some money.
