PTO Minutes 5/15/09 Emergency Meeting

After Jamee Kelly attended the Executive PTO Treasuer’s meeting today, we held an emergency meeting of the 3 officers(08-09) who could be reached to do so.

Meeting was called to order by Cindy Dehne at 5:15 p.m.

Those involved in the meeting were Cindy Dehne, Jamee Kelly and Mindi Blanchard.

Jamee Kelly informed us that the meeting was called because she had learned today that we had to allocate $1900 of our carry-over money to be spent in this school year.  Because there is only 4 days left of school; we needed to do so immediately.

After much discussion and taking in to consideration all discussion from the last PTO meeting as well as the hiring of a new Principal; we unanimously agreed to allocate $1900 of our current funds to DCMS to be spent on one of the items we had previously been requested to assist in funding.  (notes on items requested in minutes posted from May PTO meeting on DCMS website).

We also agreed that the new officers needed to meet as soon as possible with the new administration and discuss our continuing efforts to raise money for school needs.  We have been building a fund to assist with the “mobile computer lab” IF the technology is in place for this next school year (09-10).  We will spend the money on other needs if the technology needed cannot be in place during the school year (so those students who raised the money will benefit from the money raised).

Motion to allocate $1900 to the DCMS to be used on student needs by Jamee Kelly.

Second – Cindy Dehne
